MICHELE L. WRIGHT
Certified Reformer Pilates Instructor
Exercise has always been a huge part of my life. I always believed working out had to be hard and strenuous – no pain no gain was my mentality. That was until an injury to my spine occurred and diagnosis of thyroid disease. These setbacks were devastating. Having faith in God, and a whisper in my heart to try pilates, I began in July of 2020. My old mindset struggled with the idea, because I had always thought it wasn’t hard enough. Boy was I wrong! Pilates not only changed my life but it has given me fitness gains I used to only dream about. Since making pilates the core of my fitness routine, not only have I crushed my fitness goals but I’ve healed all pain and limitations in my spine. I fell so in love with Pilates and decided to become a Pilates instructor! I cannot wait to share pilates with everyone I meet. I love that Pilates is healing and versatile. Pilates is for novice to elite; for the young to the advanced ages. I’ve never found anything that compares.
Michele, also a professional hair stylist, lives in Fort Myers with her husband, two teens & little dog, Sparkles. She loves nurturing and healing through all areas of life. We are very thankful to have her teaching with us at Rivers Run Pilates!

Mary Chris Sanders
Reformer Pilates Teacher
In college, I was on the varsity cheer squad, at the University of Florida. Go Gators! In 1990, I came home, needed to move, and my back was tight, painful and overworked. I felt nothing but pain in that area of my body. No modality of exercise or massage brought relief, until I found Pilates. This is where my body began to heal. I became more mindful and my soul settled.
Forward to family life; while raising my children, I coached gymnastics and cheer here in Fort Myers. I have always loved to move and motivate others! During this season, I also began training to become a professional Pilates Instructor. Circa 2004 completed Pilates apparatus training and started teaching in Fort Myers.
I got away from teaching for a while when family and other commitments became a central focus but hoped to return to teaching one day.
In early 2022, I found Rivers Run Pilates & fell in love with Pilates all over again! I restarted regular Pilates practice and, it only made sense for me to go back to teaching!
Teaching in a smaller setting with my local community is definitely where I'm most comfortable. Pilates is good for the body, mind and soul and I want to help our clients experience this in their lives.
I live in Ft Myers, have 2 wonderful children in college, 2 canines... my gentle giants, Rosy and Blu and a loving husband.
